Continuous Automatic BackupVaulten uses next-gen Continuous Data Protection (CDP) technology. Once installed on your computer it runs silently and continuously in the background, looking for new and changes on files and securely uploading them to online storage. Thus, unlike other backup systems, Vaulten does not depend on daily or weekly backup schedules. You can rest assured that the most recent versions of your files are saved at IBM data centres.
IBM Powered Storage We store your digital assets on IBM servers in a IBM managed highly secured data centre. To maximize the protection of your data, we store your files at two different geographically located data centres.
File Versioning Our system saves all the earlier versions of the files that Vaulten and IBM are protecting for you. This allows you to go back at any time to retrieve previous versions of your documents. The timeline browser, as we call it, is easy to use and offers a simple tool for managing your files.
Innovative Handling of E-mail Backup The most used file program today is the e-mail program that contains invaluable information for both individuals and companies. An e-mail file can be hard to manage, as they often contain over a gigabyte of information. We have integrated an automatic function that ensures that our backup program automatically keeps track of any small changes in your e-mail storage file (like when you receive an e-mail). Instead of uploading the e-mail file as one file every time, our backup program keeps a check on what your e-mail program contains. Due to this, the system secures a quick and effective backup of your e-mails.
Vaulten is Fault Tolerant Vaulten has additional resources to draw upon. In the data centres, we use redundant components and fault tolerant technologies (such as server clustering, software mirroring, and hardware mirroring) to ensure service and data availability at all times. This ensures that breakdown of a component will not affect your files in any way.
Subscription Program When you download our program, you immediately get a free trial version. If it lives up to your expectations, you can choose the type of subscription that satisfies your needs. In just a few clicks, you can start a subscription with us, where you only pay for the services you need. The system is flexible, so you can upgrade your subscription if you need more backup space later on.
Vaulten Works on All Computers Running Windows XP and Vista Vaulten is compatible with both Windows XP and Vista Operating Systems. Your data is transmitted using standardized and secure web protocols (including https) to ensure that our program works with every type of proxy server and firewall. If your PC can browse the web, it can use Vaulten.
Auto-Update After you have downloaded the program it automatically downloads any updates, such as new features or changes to the system. That way you always have the latest version of the program.
Encrypted Data Transfer To ensure that no intruders gain access to your data while transmission, all data that is sent between Vaulten program and our IBM servers are encrypted with 128bit SSL. This is the same encryption that is used by banks and financial institutions to transfer critical financial data.
Firewall and Demilitarized Zone With Vaulten, your files are protected in the most secure vault in the world: IBM data centres. All your data is behind a secure firewall in a secured demilitarized zone (DMZ)
